Online Searchable Database

Click on the link above to access our online searchable database!  You can search by 16-digit NSIP ID number or you can enter in the desired parameters into the report function.  You can then sort your results by clicking on column headings, see the details for individual animals and print reports.  You can also trace an animal’s pedigree throughout the system, filter for different criteria and find contact information for the breeder of each animal!  To start over, simply click “NSIP Search” in the top left of the screen.

What Are EBVs?

EBVs are science-based, industry-tested measurements of heritable traits that can be tracked and measured. For those familiar with Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs) used in cattle, EBVs are very similar. EPDs denotes the breeding value of an individual animal’s progeny whereas EBVs denote the value of the individual animal. More simply, EBVs equal EPDs times two.
