Eastern NSIP Sale

This year, we are proud to announce the start of a second NSIP sale.  The Eastern NSIP Sale will be hosted on August 12, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Wooster, OH!  This sale was born out of demand for genetics for increased productivity in the Eastern U.S.  We will be offering 83 head of top quality breeding stock of maternal and terminal genetics, both wool and hair sheep.

Be sure to join us in Wooster and don’t forget Educational Sessions will be held before the sale!  Download the catalog below for more information.

What Are EBVs?

EBVs are science-based, industry-tested measurements of heritable traits that can be tracked and measured. For those familiar with Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs) used in cattle, EBVs are very similar. EPDs denotes the breeding value of an individual animal’s progeny whereas EBVs denote the value of the individual animal. More simply, EBVs equal EPDs times two.
